In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. The Corsair has standard 911 Assist, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to get turn-by-turn driving directions or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Model X doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Corsair and the Model X have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors, available all wheel drive and around view monitors.

The Corsair Grand Touring’s maximum EPA estimated range on a full tank and a full charge is 404 miles, after which it can be refueled at any gas station in minutes. The Model X’s range is only 303 to 352 miles, after which the minimum time to recharge is 15 minutes for only a 49% charge at a specially configured quick charge station not available in most areas. A full recharge using a conventional 110-volt outlet can take up to 82 hours and 53 minutes.

The Corsair stops much shorter than the Model X:

The Corsair offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Model X; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Corsair has standard front and rear gas-charged shocks for better control over choppy roads. The Model X’s suspension doesn’t offer gas-charged shocks.

For better maneuverability, the Corsair’s turning circle is 3.2 feet tighter than the Model X’s (37.1 feet vs. 40.3 feet).

The Lincoln Corsair may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 750 to 1450 pounds less than the Tesla Model X.

The Corsair is 1 foot, 5.7 inches shorter than the Model X, making the Corsair easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Corsair has a much larger cargo volume than the Model X with its rear seat up (27.6 vs. 14.8 cubic feet).

In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Corsair’s exterior PIN entry system. The Model X doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system.

The Corsair’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Model X’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Corsair has a standard rear wiper. The Model X doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The Corsair’s standard side window demisters help clear frost or condensation from the side windows in the winter. The Model X doesn’t even offer side window demisters, so the driver may have to wipe the windows from the outside to gain side vision.

The Corsair’s sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The Model X’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.

The Corsair has a standard center folding armrest for the rear passengers. A center armrest helps make rear passengers more comfortable and it can provide a boundary between children. The Model X doesn’t offer a middle row seat center armrest.

The Corsair Reserve/Grand Touring offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Model X.

The Corsair is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access to more content and better coverage than the Model X, which solely provides FM radio. With AM radio, you can enjoy a wider variety of stations featuring news, talk shows, sports commentary, native language programing, automated traffic guidance, and emergency broadcasts. AM waves travel further and penetrate buildings and obstacles more effectively than FM signals, especially at night. Having both FM and AM stereo radios the Corsair offers a more comprehensive listening experience compared to only FM in the Model X.

HD Radio boasts several benefits over conventional radio: superior sound quality with clearer and consistent FM broadcasts, CD-quality audio, and Multicast Channels offering up to four streams from a single station, adding programming choices. Cars like the Corsair optionally equipped with HD Radio provide an improved in-car entertainment experience. The Model X, devoid of this technology, foregoes these benefits. Selecting the Lincoln Corsair empowers drivers to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable listening experience while on the go.

The Corsair is available in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Model X doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

According to iSeeCars.com the 2026 Lincoln Corsair retains 49.01% of its original value after 5 years, significantly more than the 36.64% resale value of the 2026 Tesla Model X after five years, which can save the Lincoln’s owner up to $33586 in depreciation.

According to The Car Book by Jack Gillis, the Corsair is less expensive to operate than the Model X because typical repairs cost much less on the Corsair than the Model X, including $537 less for a water pump, $27 less for front struts and $49 less for a power steering pump.
